Anne Rae, Therapeutic Counsellor

A non-judgmental space to think, reflect and be heard.

Professional woman smiling, counselling and mental health support in the UK.

A space to think, reflect and be heard.

Taking the step to start or re-start therapy can feel daunting, particularly in terms of finding a therapist you feel comfortable with. I remember what this was like! I aim to make the process as simple and stress free as possible and to put you at ease by providing a warm, safe, non-judgemental space.

I offer a free initial 15 minute session on-line to see if we would be a good fit. Effective therapy requires a good, honest, trusting relationship and it is important to me that you get the chance to see if my approach meets your needs.

I believe that no-one is broken or needs ‘fixing.’ I experience that people find their own way through even the most challenging of situations when they have regular time and space to reflect, be seen and heard and are treated with compassion.

About Anne Rae

My career has taken me from HR leadership in large corporates to teaching, coaching and now therapy – a journey driven by a deep curiosity in human behaviour and a belief that greater self-awareness leads to more fulfilling choices. I trained in the person-centred (Gestalt) approach, which means I focus on building a unique relationship with each client rather than analysing or interpreting what you say. I am a fully qualified therapeutic counsellor, a registered member of the BACP, and trauma informed.
